First WordCamp Riga just day away – important information

Dear WordCampers,

The first ever WordCamp Riga is tomorrow! The hashtag is #WordCampRiga, we don’t mind if you use it as often as you want to talk about WordCamp Riga 🙂

Below is some important information before we meet on Saturday.

Location

Map: LU Academic Center for Natural Sciences

Address: Jelgavas street 1, Riga

Registration opens at 8:30 and will last for an hour. Please come on time and collect your badge so that we are all set for the opening remarks at 9:30. You don’t need to print out emails or confirmations. Just bring an ID (or a card with your name and face on it) and state your name at registration.

The same goes for speakers and sponsors.

Coffee and snacks will be served from 8:30am till 9:20am.

We start at 9:30 sharp.

Sessions

The sessions will take place at the Dextrum Auditoriums ONE and TWO, both of them are right next to each other and there will be schedules by the door and in the lobby. We suggest you check the schedule to decide which talks you’re going to see.

Breaks and lunch

Lunch starts at 12:00 in the university canteen, there will be direction signs and our volunteers will help you find it. Coffee, water and small snacks will be available during the coffee break at 15:20.

Afterparty on Saturday

Join us on Saturday at 19:00 for the WordCamp Riga Afterparty in First Rock Cafe – Riga (map).  After the closing remarks there will be volunteers that can help you get to the venue. It is a walking distance, but you can also use the public transport. Just ask the volunteers and they will help you.

Contributor day on Sunday

WordCamp Riga Contributor day starts at 10:00 on Sunday (Registration from 9:30) and will take place in the Sinistrum Auditorium of LU Academic Center for Natural Sciences (our conference venue).

Please come on time and bring your laptop.

Black goes with everything, right?

The organising team and all the volunteers will wear black WordCamp Riga t-shirts so you can spot them easily. Please don’t hesitate to approach us with any questions.

Let’s have a great WordCamp and see you there!
